GUTCHECK TIME! POSTED AT 01:07 AM
For the Machs and PD3, it all comes down to this.
Who advances, and who goes home. Who has a chance to play for a championship, and who goes and plays for next season. This isn’t just a game. It’s a battle for survival. The Machs and PD3, two teams still undefeated this season, will clash tomorrow night as the ABL Battleground Playoffs continue with the Southern Conference Semifinals. Game time is at 9:30 PM at The Zone in Makati. It’s all or nothing for both teams, as the knockout-format playoffs resumes. The Machs have been heavily challenged during the playoffs, winning two close games (48-45 vs. Suns in Round 1, 49-45 vs. BRGY-DCS in Round 2) as compared to their double-digit average winning margin during the eliminations. As for PD3, they’ve taken the shorter way, so-to-speak, winning their first round series via default, but bouncing back and defeating Prince 63-49 in the second round. It will also be a battle between PD3’s red-hot offense and the Machs stingy, yet on-again, off-again defense. PD3 was the only team to score 100 points this season—and they did it twice (100-44, 108-52). Their 100-44 win was even more impressive, as they only had six player suited up, but those six players all scored in double digits. As for the Machs, once their defense is clicking, it is very hard to defeat them. Although there were times wherein the Machs’ defense seemed non-existent, the team just seems to know when to crank it up a notch. Whether leading or trailing, defense has been the key factor to the Machs all season. Tomorrow’s game is sure to be another classic, as both teams are considered each other’s toughest opponent yet. The winner will face the winner of the other playoff series—Boiletz vs Tiger Cubs—in the Southern Conference Finals, and will be one step closer to a finals appearance. Indeed, there can only be one. =========================== excited na ko! bukas na ang game namin... and this will be our toughest challenge yet. we all thought na yung BRGY-DCS na yung pinakamahirap, pero as the saying goes, it's just gonna get tougher and tougher. SANA MANALO KAMI BUKAS!!!!! 1-2-3.. SIEBEL!!!!!!!! />i'm out

MURPHY'S LAW POSTED AT 12:50 AM
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murphy%27s_law that pretty much sums up my WHOLE DAY... at tulad ng kutob ko kanina (see Murphy's Law), nagkatotoo nga yung kutob ko. we lost, 51-39. nawala yung depensa namin. for some reason, napagod agad kami ay, sila lang pala.... hindi nanaman ako pinaglaro, as usual... and what hurts more is that, ako lang ang hindi pinaglaro another DNP-CD for me... having said that, this could be the end of my career--as a player. i might still be with the team, but in a bench role (scorer, assistant coach, etc). ayun lang... i'm just kinda upset about that. pero at least we made it this far (conference semifinals). saka honestly i didn't think that we could go undefeated all this time. we clearly lost to a better and more talented (and need i say, TALL) team. />i'm out Currently feeling: upset |
