food blog? POSTED AT 12:02 PM hey guys! it's been a while again! i'm actually thinking of starting a semi-food blog here. i'll basically be documenting my past and present "food trips" (most of them are with my friend. we just do crazy things during our food trips!) hopefully i'll be able to remember all of the places i've eaten at (and all the dishes i've eaten). BTW, i'm in the office. LOL well it's lunch time now! gotta go! />i'm out Currently listening to: David Hernandez - Papa Was a Rolling StoneNo shoutout(s)

Ken LEE POSTED AT 02:02 AM check this video out guys... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RgL2MKfWTo NOW i know why the title of this video is "Ken Lee". This was taken from Bulgarian Idol.
********* (meanwhile, in some totally unrelated news...) i'm thinking i'll be rated low after this is all said and done. but that's the way it goes. and hey, it's my first time. i was practically a newbie who had to learn everything on the job. very little time to prepare and whatnot. but at least i'm getting the hang of it. if ever i'll have a second go at it, at least i now know what to do. one lesson i've learned though, "The little things are equally as important as the big things (main picture)". ********* American Idol Season 7 is in full swing! It was Beatles' night and what a weird show! David A faltered, Chikeize rocked, David Cook became the dark horse, Brook cried, and Ramiele still hasn't shown her vocal prowess to the fullest. (I'm expecting a better performance next week, Ramiele!!!) my choice to go home tomorrow: Kristy Lee Cook (countrying a Beatles song didn't do her good) well, 'til my next post! gotta get some sleep. />i'm out Currently listening to: The Beatles - Let It Be |

Fish and Company POSTED AT 12:56 AM hi guys! me and my friend ate at fish and company last friday night @ trinoma. actually at that time, i really wasn't in the mood for eating in those kinds of restos (i just wanted a simple dinner, kahit sa KFC oks na), but eventually we ended up eating there, also because neither one of us have eaten there before. and so another food trip began... the place was pretty big. they had 2 LCD TVs there and fish-shaped wooden place mats (or coasters, whatever). anyways, upon seeing the menu, i was SHOCKED to see their prices! most dishes there cost around 450 pesos (the most expensive one was this fish collar i think, around 120- grand). i was relieved though that all the food there were good for sharing. knowing that, we went ahead and ordered 3 dishes: prawn trillet (appetizer), seafood curry, and salmon teriyaki. the food took a while to prepare though, around 10-15 minutes. after 15 minutes, our firt dish had arrived -- prawn trillets. i must say, they were delicious! the prawns were kinda big, though, and the sauce/dip was very interesting... kind of sweet and sour, but not quite. a VERY unique taste. the main dishes arrived next: my salmon teriyaki and my friend's seafood curry. the salmon teriyaki was the BOMB! two slabs of salmon breast poured with teriyaki sauce (and add to that some veggie sidings). the rice was kind of like the one we ate at hossein's (i'll post more about hossein's in the coming days), long-grained yellow rice with raisins. the seafood curry was good, too! it had some fish, squid, and some mussels on the side! of course, it being curry meant one thing -- SPICYNESS! and indeed it was! a half plate of the curry would make you full because the rice was "packed" together. OVERALL: 8 out of 10 -- i gave it an 8 out of 10 mainly because of the food prices. i felt they were overpriced by juuuuuuust a tad. good thing we had a 500-peso discount from our total bill. ******** after the dinner, my friend wanted to go for some coffee, so we had some at coffee bean -- and she treated me a cup of caramel latte! is that cool or what? the coffee bean branch at trinoma was pretty neat, too. they had some outdoor furniture for people who cannot be accommodated. they also had wi-fi there, which surprised me actually. anyways, after our drink a the coffee bean, we decided to call it a night. another very memorable and interesting time with my friend. thanks! ******** NOTES: We were supposed to watch "My Big Love", but we failed to arrive in time for the 7:40PM screening...... The SM North Edsa screen time was 7:05PM...... On the way to the Coffee bean, I ran into my Delivery Manager from P&G, Kryscel! She scared the crap out of me! hehehe...... My friend's sister will be one of the recipients of the prestigious Benavides Award. Congrats!

Add Meat POSTED AT 11:24 PM a blessed lenten season to everyone (who observe it)! ************** i, of course, am on FASTING (if you know what i mean...) ************** we went to pampanga last wednesday to sort of celebrate holy week there. incidentally, it was also the town's (san simon, if i'm not mistaken) feast day (fiesta). boy, what an experience that was! an entire street there was full of banderitas . when we arrived at our destination, this lady invited us to her home to eat! imagine that! in fact, i was told that traditional fiestas such as these entail an entire street of houses preparing food for anyone who passes by! so basically every house there had a bunch of food prepared for whomever comes their way. we actually were just about to visit one house, but it ended up in us going to 3 different houses, which meant we ate 3 times T_T. all the food were amazing! chicken, pork, meat, seafood, even the desserts were fantabulous! i have never been so full in my life! and during the afternoon, obviously, i became so sleepy that i couldn't help myself and slept on one of the tables in my aunt's house. too much food indeed causes drowsiness hehehe ************** English??? why in the blue hell do we need to speak in English, all of a sudden??? There must be a very good explanation on this! ************** ...But when you touch me like this --some girl singing the videoke at my aunt's house. despite her pronunciation problems, she HAS a good voice, so i'll give her that. ************** />i'm out Currently watching: MYX Backtrax |
