need for speed most wanted POSTED AT 02:17 AM
what's up guys! well i've been pretty lazy lately... hehe... just sitting at home and being the couch potato that i am (LOL). anyways, i've been busy playing need for speed most wanted, though (on the PS2 of course). my pc's specs unfortunately couldn't handle NFSMW (well it actually does but the loading times are HELL!). i've been playing it for a little over a week now and i just beat blacklist rival "Kaze". damn! those bounties sure are hard to obtain! oftentimes i get around 300K bounty only to get busted... very frustrating. anyways i'm now up against ming, the one driving the lamborghini... i'm currently using a porsche cayman i won against a blacklist member. it's pretty much the only car i've ever used for most of the blacklist "missions" well i gues that's enough for now... i'll try on the new techniques i got from cheatcc.com later on in the day. />i'm out Currently watching: MYXNo shoutout(s)

blacklist rival #1: razor POSTED AT 03:14 AM
how's everybody doing? well, after 2 weeks, i am nearing the end of my Need for Speed Most Wanted career mode. after a lot of frustrating defeats, i managed to make it to the final battle: blacklist #1 - razor. he drives the BMW M3 he stole from me, the player, in the beginning of the game. right now, i'm using the mercedes mclaren i got from toru sato, blacklist rival #2. hopefully, i'll be able to finish the game later on in the day. i'm left with around 7 races and 1 milestone t accomplish. i hope everything goes well. i just stumbled upon this neat website with all NFSMW stuff. visit it at http://nfsvideos.com. kudos to the site makers!
june 13th... the day i dread... this will be the day wherein i will start to contribute to society... june 13 - i will be working!
hehe... i really don't know what to expect... well, i guess all i have to expect is "the unexpected".
i rarely share some WWE thoughts here, so i thought of sharing them with you.
rey mysterio should lose the belt. i really don't dig this "underdog champion" thing. yeah, sure, he's the world heavyweight champion. but what has that gotten him into? BIG-TIME losses to mark henry, the great khali, kane, and just recently, finlay. if they really want him to be a "legit" champion then he should somehow be able to defeat thes guys. instead, he's just getting squashed against larger opponents. i hope by summerslam rey loses the title. he's had his run. it's now time to drop that underdog-thing. in ECW one night stand 2, i hope he loses it to sabu (although it might seem unlikely). what's the deal with this anti-cena stuff? yeah, i'm a cena fan, even when he was a heel back in smackdown. i know there are those "traditional" wrestling fans who really want a champion to be a "wrestler". they also take a shot at cena's moves. well i know some wwe superstars who's got just about the same number of moves as cena (as those cena haters say). the bigger guys like batista and jbl to name a few. they rarely use some wrestling holds and yet they are popular. cena on the other hand has almost the same number of moves, yet a lot of people dislike him now. i don't think turning him heel (a bad guy) will save him the boos or make him "popular". i think they should just make cena do a lot more moves like what he's done when he was on smackdown. or make him use his SD vs RAW 06 moveset. well those were my two cents about the champs on both brands. />i'm out Currently feeling: numb |

most wanted - the final part POSTED AT 02:02 AM
well, i've done it! after a painstaking two weeks filled with anger, frustration, joy, jubilation, i have finally finished need for speed most wanted. i finally managed to complete all required milestones in order to battle razor. after n number of tries, i managed to complete the 13-minute pursuit length milestone. after that, i was all set to battle razor. the final battle with razor consisted of 5 races: 2 sprints, a speedtrap, a circuit race, and a drag race. i managed to beat him on the first try in drag, speedtrap, and one sprint race. it took me about 2 tries to beat him in the other races. after those extremely long races (and after beating him handily in the final race), i thought it was all over... ...until i was caught in a pursuit at heat level 6! sgt. cross and the entire rockport police department was after my ass for being the most wanted street racer. after driving around for about 5 minutes (because i was not able to completely evade the cops), mia called me and told me to head for the old bridge just past the baseball field (the one blocked by a crane). as i was about to go there, i got busted just before the turn going to the baseball field! i thought that i had to repeat the entire razor series of races, but fortunately i only had to retry the pursuit. and in my second try, i managed to evade the cops in about 8 minutes. as i passed the old bridge, the car went airborn as i approached the dead end (and boy did the car fly!), and while watchng those unfortunate police cars fall to their doom, i have finished need for speed most wanted. although i have finished career mode, i only have it 97% complete, because i haven't completed 4 milestones. as of thursday, i was trying out the challenge series, and i've finished 11 out of the 68 challenges!!! after all of the cursing and shouting i did while playing the game, i doubt i'll be completing the milestones and the challenge series. in other news, i went to makati yesterday morning to claim my ATM card at metrobank urdaneta. i actually walked from glorietta to the bank which was an awfully long distance! (the building the bank was in was actally the atrium). it was so damn hot kanina that i sweated like a pig! and i haven't eaten my breakfast then! immediately after claiming my ATM (and all the while running into a fellow accenture employee), me and my aunt went to glorietta. i chose to eat at subway because it's been a long time since i last ate there. plus, those TV commercials in the US promoting subway just made my mouth water. after brunch, i noticed that the glorietta activity center was filled with all these computer gadgets. apparently, it was a huge tech sale which will run from june 7 to 18. of course, being the techie geek that i am, i went there and checked it out. most of the laptop notebooks and cellphones there were shockingly low priced and i thought that they were very reasonable prices at that given their specs. (most of the gadgets there were laptops, cellphones, and digicams). i also got a lot of flyers with computer stuff in it, and with my luck, we're gonna go there on sunday to buy a laptop! how cool is that?!?! damn, can't wait till sunday! i have an idea on what laptop i'll buy... />i'm out Currently watching: PBB Up LateCurrently feeling: tired yet excited |

first day high - parts 1 and 2 POSTED AT 10:30 PM
what up guys! well, i'm now an officially an employee of accenture. these past 2 days have been full of information, hence, "information overload". can't give you guys the details though.... you know.. "employee-employer confidentiality". everything discussed there was entirely confidential, so as to protect the good name of the firm. one good thing though, about the orientation was that although it was purely talk for the whole day, we did have some activities to enhance our socializing skills. oh, and he free food didn't hurt too. in fact, we just ate and ate almost all of the time! 3 times a day (breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack). i almost puked because of all the food that was served to us. there wasn't a shortage of C2 and softdrinks, either. everything was planned very well and the orientation was very organized. tomorrow, i'll be meeting my project manager. probably we will just be briefed on a few things. and no, i'm no longer assigned in makati. instead, they put me in cybergate, just at the back of robinson's place pioneer. i hear that the building is fairly new and actually another one is being built next to it. *sigh* i don't really know what to expect tomorrow. i just hope that it will be a productive day tomorrow. i also can't wait what the training will give us. i have no idea what siebel is... oh well, i'll just keep you guys posted... P.S. shadowmeld will be receiving his first paycheck tomorrow. i hope that guy will be treating me out tomorow... or at least in the near future... lol />i'm out Currently watching: NBA Finals Game 3 (replay)Currently feeling: tired |

this is no BS... 7799 POSTED AT 11:35 PM
BS 7799 Part 1 was a standard originally published as BS 7799 by the British Standards Institute (BSI) in 1995. It was written by the United Kingdom Government's Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and after several revisions, was eventually adopted by ISO as ISO 17799, "Information Technology - Code of practice for information security management." in 2000. ISO 17799 was most recently revised in June 2005. A second part to BS7799 was first published by BSI in 1999, known as BS 7799 Part 2, titled "Information Security Management Systems - Specification with guidance for use." BS 7799-2 focused on how to implement an Information Security Management System (ISMS), referrering to the information security management structure and controls identified in ISO 17799. The 2002 version of BS 7799-2 introduced the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) (Deming quality assurance model), aligning it with quality standards such as ISO 9000. BS 7799 Part 2 was adopted by ISO as ISO/IEC 27001 in November 2005. Certification/registration of an organisation's ISMS against ISO 27001 is one means of providing assurance that the certified/registered organisation has implemented a system for the management of information security in line with the standard. In some countries, the bodies which verify conformity of ISMS to specified standards are called "certification bodies", in others "registration bodies", in others "assessment and registration bodies", or "certification/ registration bodies", and in others still, "registrars". ISO 27001 certification usually involves a two-stage audit process: Stage 1 is a "table top" review of the existence and completeness of key documentation like the Security Policy, Statement of Applicability, Information Security Management System (ISMS). Stage 2 is a detailed, in-depth audit involving testing the existence and effectiveness of the controls stated in the ISMS as well as their supporting documentation. BS7799-3 was due to be published late in 2005. It will cover risk analysis and management, and will align particularly with ISO 27001. Source: Wikipedia Currently watching: MYXilog |

it's only the beginning POSTED AT 01:03 AM hey guys! well two weeks of "information overload" is over, and i can say that the entire class have learned a lot from our instructors. also our class has bonded pretty well these past few days with all the story-telling sessions... i just hope all of us will be able to work as a team, now that we have this big case study.... oh and we had this exam... i thought i did pretty well although we really didn't meet the "standard" criteria. our instructors, though, told us that we were the batch that ahd the best scores from the exam, and i thought that was pretty good. i know we could've done better if the lessons were not too LONG... well i guess i gotta end it here for the mean time... im downloading WWE Vengeance 2006 via torrent right now... see you guys (probably) tomorrow />i'm out Currently watching: Kontrobersyal |
