the first time is the deepest! POSTED AT 01:37 AM october 7, 2005 - i will not forget this day
around 7pm, it strted to rain like hell. and what happened a few hours later? españa boulevard became "españa river"! the water was heel-deep along lacson, but we eventually decided to go for it.
it was my first time to do this, along with two of my classmates, mabelle and kelvin. it was our first attempt to even do this, but i guess desperate times call for desperate measures. so
there we were, traversing the flood-filled streets of manila. i
couldn't believe that i was even there--feeling the dirty, disgusting
water as it flowed through my socks and shoes. grabe talaga!
diring-siri na nga ung classmate ko e... as in first time lang kasi
namin talagang lumusong sa ganung baha.and i gotta admit, WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!
pero despite the "adventure", may katuwa-tuwa namang nangyari. nadpuan kasi ng ipis ung isa kong classmate--sa buhok! edi syempre pipitikin un ng isa kong friend. e dumapo pa ulit sa balikat nya! grabe! she totally freaked out! hehehehe. eventually, after about 45 minutes of walking, we finally hit some dry land. at laking pasasalamat lang namin... sobra! dumeretso kami sa burger king and we ate our hearts out! as in, pagpasok namin sa BK, pinagtitinginan kami ng mga tao! hehehe... mga gusgusin kasi... (my polo was a complete mess!)
we
eventually got home at around 12 midnight. buti na lang walang traffic.
syempre, as i got home, i immediately removed all the disgusting stuff
from my body, at diretso na kong naligo. hehehehe.
damn... what an experience... at least, isa na kong tunay na TOMASINO:
sa isip, sa salita, at sa BAHA
i do hope i don't experience this again... but knowing españa... who knows?
/>i'm out Currently feeling: friggin tired! |

UAAP Cheerdance comments POSTED AT 01:04 PM this comment was posted by a UP pep squad member. Posted by my classmate at our yahoo! groups
From: kaye riguer < kayeriguer@yahoo.com> Date: Sep 19, 2005 5:34 PM Subject: [pisoysi] post-UAAP To: pisoysi
thanks everyone for your support and prayers. we do appreciate it & ill always be grateful that i have friends like u lot. sori if you're disappointed with the results of the competition. i swear, the whole UP pep did its to get the crown this year. unfortunately, we lost due to cheating...yes, totoo ung balitang dinaya tayo ng judge from uste. look here; eto ung score nya for UP pep.. school cheer - 57/80 wala kami sa position para ipabago ang resaults. we just wanted that biased "josh pagtalunan" to defend what he has given us. he thought un lang deserved namin?? nakakainis!! may contest plang nagbibigay ng 70% total??? cge, last year, sa kanila throne kc wow tlaga performance nila. pero this yr??? wala nga katandatanda sa routine nila. uve seen it naman di ba? oh yeah, ung END ng nestle cheer nila nakakaaliw tlga. pero ibang usapan ang grade-an ka ng ganun ng ultimate rival school nyo. shyet nman! sobrang obvious ang deliberate pandaraya to pull our scores down. onga, bka she has seen na mas may edge tau kya sinabotage na nya ung scoring nya. un nlang pampalubag loob samin, thinking insecure sya kya 70% lang UP for him..catholic university pala ha? such a shame to them. i pity ust dahil nagrerejoice nila kc di nila alam to. pero we cant blame them kc narinig lang nman nila ang results. nakakaawa lang kc they're rejoicing sa maling akala. they won bcoz of cheating...tsk tsk..if they only knew. kya mejo pacified nrin kami e..alam naman namin na better ang UP pep this year kesa sa knila khit iba ang result. totoo nga, mas nag-panic kmi sa feu's routine. at ang bigyan ka ng ganung score is very unethical! such a cheap move to win! 85% by the way ang binigay ng UP sa knila. haaay, bitter na kung bitter. napaka-unfair lang nman nung nangyari. buti kung wla kaming basis. pero our captain and coaches saw the scoresheet themselves... wala lang po, sori if nakapaglabas ako ng samam ng loob dito. i just feel bad na malakas ang routine dis year pero parang nawalan ng saysay bcoz some stupid fellow stooped down so very low just to get the title. pathetic means...saka gusto ko lang malaman nyo na idedefend namin khit sa inyo lang mga taga-UP din ang supposed-to-be pagkapanalo ntin ds year. u deserve it coz all support kau samin. we dont want to let u down, much more not do anything to reward ur loyalty... the battle goes on..thanks for feeling kami parin #1 for you lot! thanks din sa lahat ng nagtxt skin b4, during & after the competition, wishing us luck & congratulating us, & saying all those encouraging words. we promise u, it doesnt end here. uste can settle thinking they made it this year for all we care. but they can never get away from the fact that they won because someone cheated for them...thats the ultimate revenge, isnt that? wala man lang kming dapat gawin... once again, psysc people...thanks & Godbless! till next year! so long as u keep on believing in UP PEP SQUAD, we will never ever let u down...(wag lang dadayain kc wala na kming hold dun...hehe!) owkey, balik work...marj ano na uli ung work ko? marjun? workshops nga pla ako sa csiw...whats my work guys? icee, sponsors natin...lets go, parrots!!!! I Love You PSYSC!!! UP KAMI...KAYO??? UP sets the trend!!! wlang tatalo sa galing...wlang katulad ang dating... it is our CHOICES that show what we truly are...far more than our abilities... It is our choices that show what we truly are... far more than our abilities... kaye lo te prometo, me quereras...para siempre...
i dunno if that particular judge did what this writer claims, but who knows? some might say that they're making up this story because they're sick of being "bridesmaids" for N years now...
Bottom Line: UST has won 7 of the last 10 UAAP cheerdance competitions, and FOUR IN A ROW!. beat that!

bad day POSTED AT 02:53 AM (segway muna from all the studying... hehehe) i had a very bad day yesterday. you could not ask for anything mroe unlucky. i left the house at around 11:00. the exam is about to start at about 1pm. so, there i was, at the usual spot i stand on while waiting for a taxi. taxis bound for blumentritt usually take 10-15 minutes before they show up. but this time, it was different! aba! close to 40 minutes na kong naghihintay, wala pa! damn! and the traffic was starting to build up! but me, being the patient guy that i am, waited a bit more, thinking that it would not be "that" traffic going to school well lo and behold! 15 minutes later--that's a full hour of waiting--and STILL NO FRICKIN' TAXI! it was aroung 12:10 that time, so i had no choice but to take the jeepney. good thing only a few passengers were on board, because it was hot as hell (and i was perspiring as hell!). anyways, i just hope that the trip would be a fast one. well, guess what? i was wrong! the trip took 1 hour (instead of the usual 30-35 minutes)! i just said to myself that " i am soooooo screwed". it was already past 1PM and there i was, still in blumentritt, waiting in line to board the jeepney to ust. i was about to text my classmate whether or not the exam has been activated (the exam was online), and presto! my phone shut off!!!! damn! by this time, i was really close to losing it. kulang na lang talaga na magmura ako dun sa harap ngmaraming tao dahil sa sobrang badtrip ko. at eto pa!
exam hasn't been activated yet.
grabe talaga.... one of the unluckiest days of my life....

2 days worth POSTED AT 03:27 AM
October 17, 2005. This was supposed to be a day of partying, as the 4th annual ICOn general assembly will be held at Metrobar Restaurant and Concert bar along West avenue, Q.C. At the same time, our grades for Web-Based technology will also be given out, so you could just imagine what people will do when they know whether they pass or fail. It was also the finals night of the fabled “Mr. and Ms. ICOn” pageant. And of course, our class had our bets (Jeric and Elena) in their evening-best attires. This was set to be one helluva night! But the night didn’t start off on the right note. We had to wait for 2 hours before we were allowed to enter the bar. This of course pissed just about everybody there, as most of the people there (including me and some of my classmates) were early for the party (call time was 6PM). Finally, the organizers let us in at around 8PM. Although the starting time was late, we didn’t have any idea how special (and downright hilarious) this night will be. As the program started (we were fortunate enough to land good seats!), we were immediately treated to SUGO: ICS style! The hosts were dressed up as Amante and Miguel from the hit TV series, “Sugo”. That really jump-started our evening. After the introduction, the parade of the finalists then started. After the initial parade, some random video clips (from Mr. BoomBa) were shown at breaks. Af ter the first intermission, if I remember correctly, the first batch of bands performed, and let me tell you, the first band was awesome! Their name was Publiko and the vocalist really had the crowd pumped-up. After the band performance was the parade of the finalists’ oriental wear, and I must say, our bet was IMO the only contestant dressed in “real” oriental attire (for the women). The kimono really fit her very well. Then, some more bands played, but they simply could not rival Publiko’s performance. After some more intermissions the contestants then paraded their casual attire. Once again, out bets stood out. The question and answer portion followed, wherein each contestant had to pick a question from a container of some sort. Good thing Jeric did his thing with the question he picked (Linus Torvalds rules!), but Elena kinda stuttered during her question. Either way, we thought they did a good job. After the Q&A portion, the wackiest portion of the night began—the stand-up comedy! They started things off by singing some hit songs like “She Will Be Loved” and others. After their performance, the stand-up comics immediately mad e their presence felt by picking on a former ICS student by the name of Earl Real. Mostly the gay comedians ganged-up on the poor kid, and worst of all, his classmates told the comics that it as Earl’s birthday. Poor guy. Well if you thought that wasn’t enough; wait till you hear what happened before and during the awarding ceremonies! The 2 comedians this time ganged-up on the show’s hosts! They even went to telling jokes such as “Bakla ka bang talaga?” nd other hilarious and outrageously funny stuff. During the awarding ceremonies, they also picked on some of the contestants, more particularly our bets. Damn, if you had only seen Jeric’s reaction when he was being “man handled” by those two gay comedians… it was priceless! But good thing for him, all of those harassments paid off, as he emerged the 2005 Mr. ICOn personality! Not only that, but he also won Mr Photogenic and Mr. Voter’s Choice. Elena, on the other hand, won 2nd runner-up honors in addition to her winning the Ms. Oriental award for best oriental costume (which she truly deserves). The winners of the ICOn band fest were also announced, as Publiko emerged as the overall winners. Jeric’s band, “Erotica”, scored the second-most number of votes, despite some technical (and human) errors. Anyways, after the pageant, band fest, and raffle (which was mostly for 1st and 2nd year students... crap), a band called “Liquefied Orange” performed some RnB hits, and, as expected, it was party time! Most of the people trooped to the dance floor and danced their hearts out! My main man Lyndon even got to “bump and grind” with some AFS dancers! The lucky sonovabitch! Hehehehe… I arrived home at around 1:30 am. Exhausted. Kinda full. Not hungry. So, I decided to go online and chat with a classmate. Oh, and about the grades, good thing I passed! That really made my night (and my other classmates’ nights) very happy, except for 2 of my classmates who unfortunately failed the subject. Good thing that they’ll be having a removal exam the following day. October 18, 2005. Today, we were supposed to have some consultation time with our professor in Software Engineering. The consultation was supposed to start at 11am, but we had to wait up until 2pm to know that our grades haven’t been encoded yet. Heck, they were still checking the test papers! Well, days like these just got to have some special and somewhat (un)expected happenings, like happening (a). Damn… I never really knew that she liked the guy very much, only to have their “moment” ruined by a certain person (it wasn’t I). Happening (b) this time happened inside a fast-food restaurant. I actually knew a lot of things which I haven’t known before. (hmmm… tagalugin kona lang kaya) So ayun… Dami ngang nasabi about dun. As in hindi ko talaga ineexpect. Oh well, I guess those things will most likely be revealed, one way or another. Bakit kasi kailangan pang i-hide ang feelings sa isa’t-isa e… Hay… eto.. nagsisimula nanaman ako… Oh well… Anyways, at around 4PM, me and my classmate Marnelli went
to Nacional. I wasn’t doing anything
more during the day so I decided to attend her mother’s wake (if that is the
right term). Un, I was there for 8 hours. We chatted non-stop for like 3 hours
(well, not literally non-stop&hellip A few hours later, her high school classmates came. An hour later, my classmate Lyndon along with his “sidekicks” Paul and Ken came. An hour later, Lheebai and Matthew, and another hour later, Mabelle and Elena arrived. From there, we continued to chat about random things, although it was still mostly about the GA. Me, Elena, and Mabelle stayed there up until around midnight, then we finally decided to call it a day. Mabelle and I went home together, while Elena went home with her bike-riding boyfriend. I
would once again like to extend my deepest and sincerest condolences to me
classmate, who lost her mom last Saturday morning. My thoughts and prayers are
always with you. May you and your family be strong enough to live your lives despite
this unexpected tragedy. ///
I haven’t felt like this in a while. Now that sem break is
upon us, will I continue to miss you each and every passing day? Or will I be
able to get over it? Questions, questions, questions Currently feeling: sigh |

im back POSTED AT 02:10 AM wow! almost a full week without a post... i guess that's what happens when things keep you busy. anyways, i have been going back and forth to UST for the past 2 days now. last monday, our clearance reports were given out, and I PASSED ALL MY SUBJECTS! YAY! after the submission of clearance reports, we immediately came to advising. it was another long process, as usual, so long that me and another classmate had to go back the following day (tuesday) because we wanted to speak with the dean. anyways, tuesday came (yesterday). both of us were pretty early, but as we arrived at the dean's office, a clerk there told us that the dean was in the midst of a meeting. she told us to come back after 1 pm. so, me and my classmate olen went to @mber. there, we hung out and played nba live 2006 until a little past 1pm. (btw, nba live 06 is kind weird for me. when i first played it [miami (me) vs. seattle ], i noticed that it was SO easy to shoot and rebound the ball! that was completely off the hook! but, EA did manage to make stealing a little less frequent than in 2005 where your team can have 32 steals in an entire game! anyways, as we arrived back at the dean's office (it was loooong walk), we were told to wait a little more as the dean has just about finished their meeting. after a few minutes, she arrived and we were finally able to talk to her. olen had no problems with his form, but i, unfortunately, was advised by the dean to attach a letter to the form i am going to submit. so, i had no choice but to make the letter and go back to UST again tomorrow. *sigh* why do enrollments have to be so time-consuming (and not-to-mention tough!)? oh well, the things students have to go through. anyways, this will be our last enrollment procedure (i hope). well, i've said that the first semester was going to be "very interesting". now, i predict that this second semester be no different than the first. who knows? it may include a few surprises here and there, and it MAY become the most memorable and unforgettable semester for all of us, seeing as that this will be our last semester as a class...
hay.... at least i'm quite busy this sembreak. i've been pretty much glued to my PS2, most especially gran turismo 3 and smackdon vs raw. gran turismo 3 is very fun, especially as i am using initial d cars (AE86, FD, FC, EK-9). on SD vs RAW, i've just finished creating a bunch of superstars like carlito, chris masters, hurricane--just about everyone included in the current WWE roster, and those who are active. i plan on re-enacting the unforgiven and no mercy PPVs on my next game play... hay.. i guess i'll end my post here....
damn, haven't seen my grades yet. they are not yet online! argh! |
|

about so many stuff, including to what happened
during the previous day’s festivities (because she obviously wasn’t able to
attend).
